Section 2B.18. Iowa Code editor and administrative code editor — custody and authentication.

1. The Iowa Code editor is the custodian of the official legal publications known as the Iowa Acts, Iowa Code, and Code Supplement for supplements to the Iowa Code for the years 1979 through 2011, and for any other supplements to the Iowa Code. The Iowa Code editor may attest to and authenticate any portion of such official legal publication for purposes of admitting a portion of the official legal publication in any court or office of any state, territory, or possession of the United States or in a foreign jurisdiction.
2. The administrative code editor is the custodian of the official legal publications known as the Iowa administrative bulletin, the Iowa administrative code, and the Iowa court rules. The administrative code editor may attest to and authenticate any portion of such official legal publication for purposes of admitting a portion of the official legal publication in any court or office of any state, territory, or possession of the United States or in a foreign jurisdiction.
