Section 572.9. Time of lien posting.

  The statement of account required by section 572.8 shall be posted by a general contractor or subcontractor within two years and ninety days after the date on which the last of the material was furnished or the last of the labor was performed.

2012 amendment to section takes effect January 1, 2013; mechanics’ liens filed prior to that date shall remain with the clerk of district court of the county in which the building, land, or improvement charged with the lien is situated;
